The set dancing events in this list take place on a regular basis - weekly, monthly, fortnightly or bimonthly. The majority of them are classes; regularly scheduled live music ceilis are also included.
All classes and ceilis are generally open to all dancers, beginners and experienced. If a class is aimed at a specific level this is indicated where known. Visitors are welcome and some classes even waive the cost to visitors attending a single class. If you're on holiday or travelling near a class be sure to drop in. Contact names are shown at the end of an entry for the teacher or organiser. Click on a highlighted name to get the phone number. It's always a good idea to phone before attending a class for the first time. Most classes don't run during the summer - this is shown in the entry if known.
Set Dancing News strives to keep this information accurate and up-to-date. However, some entries in the listings may be old and obsolete. Set dancing classes generally operate from year to year in the same venue with the same teacher, so once a class is added here, it remains listed until notification of a change is received. Entries are removed after around three years if no further confirmation of a class is received. To keep your class listing current, please confirm it annually to Bill Lynch. Information on new, changed and cancelled classes is welcome. There is no charge for including an event here.
Note: most entries are followed by a white dot - move your mouse over it to see the source of the information and when it was received.
