Martin 'Junior' Crehan, seen at the right in this photograph with Bobby Casey at the Ballard Cemetary in Miltown Malbay last year, died at home in Mullagh on Monday, 3 August 1998 at the age of 90. Junior was the embodiment of Irish tradition - a fiddler, dancer, teacher and storyteller. He was involved in the Willie Clancy Summer School since its inception and was a familiar and beloved figure to all who attended it.
