Romance at Miltown
Angela O'Donnell, Tralee, Co Kerry, and Paul Morgan, Warrenpoint, Co Down, met a few years ago in Co Clare and their love blossomed during the Willie Clancy Week in Miltown. They celebrated their engagement with their family and many friends at the Hilltown Ceili on Friday, 4th December 1999. Angela and Paul will be married just before Miltown week in July 2000. At a Christmas party in St Paul's GAA Hall, Mungret, Co Limerick, December 1999, John Joe Tierney called the sets and Shane O'Donnell and Frank Culligan played the music.

As if by magic, Martin Hayes appeared halfway through the ceili with the Tulla Ceili Band in the Boree Log, Lissycasey, Co Clare, December 1999, and transformed what was already a great evening into something stunning. By popular demand he played a solo before the national anthem.
Dancers, musicians and singers from the Irish Arts Center in Manhattan visited a nursing home in the Bronx and entertained the residents over the Christmas holidays.
